Marriott hotels testing streaming services directly to their in-room TVs
Marriott is not getting much love from internet power users, thanks to their recent ban on customers using hotspots. It made no sense, really, but today they may be getting some brownie points from those who are fans of streaming services.
Marriott has started testing a new service in 8 of its hotels. In these hotels, users can stream Netflix, Hulu and Pandora straight from their hotel room entertainment systems. It seems to be working well, but it’s still unsure whether this service will be free or come as a premium internet package available to guests.
Opinion: It’s still sad to think they may be charging extra for streaming, but think about it this way – at least you won’t have to rent their expensive movies!
